The zTrack LoRa GPS tracker is developed by ZANE systems Kft. Our company is located in Hajdusamson, Hungary. Our experienced hardware and software development team has more than 20 years experience in electronics development. We got to know LoRa technology in 2016 spring. Since then our products, which are adopt the LoRa technology, are used in Smart City applications, industrial machines, consumer electronics.

Operation of a zTrack device
The module has an accelerometer and a temperature meter inside. The accel chip is able to detect if the unit is moving. If no movement detected, the tracker sends packets to the gateway in every 15 mins. When movement detected, the tracker changes the sending period to 30 seconds. If the GPS is able to locate the device, the position and the battery voltage will be sent in every communication attempt. If the GPS has no coordinates, the module will send only the battery level and temperature.

Battery lifecycle:

The zTrack has 250mAh built in Li-Po battery. This energy is enough to send 1000 messages with GPS coordinates. The tracker has built in accelerometer to detect movement. The device is using the GPS if motion detected. The sending frequency is adjustable by user from zTrack system. A typical usage is 4 hours motion daily, 5 min sending period. In this case the zTrack can work up to 2 weeks. The charging is possible by uUSB cable. The charging time is typically 1 hour.
