zTrack Tube is a LoRa/LoRaWan GPS tracker for various assets and the living with a rechargeable battery. Thanks to its simple small case the device is easy to mount, camouflage anywhere.
Operation of zTrack Tube
All zTrack trackers have an accelerometer and a temperature sensor inside. The accelerometer chip is able to detect if the unit is moving. If there is no movement, the tracker sends packets to the gateway every 60 minutes by default (we can this period from 5 minutes to 1 day). In case of movement occurs, the tracker changes the sending period to 2 minutes (This value can be set from 2 minutes to 60 minutes). In addition if the GPS is able to locate the device, the position and the battery voltage will be sent in every communication attempt. If the GPS receives no coordinates, the module will only send a keep-alive message that contains only the battery level and temperature. We can turn off both the GPS and the accelerometer via the zTrack application.
zTrack Tube has an 800mAh built-in Li-Po battery. This energy is enough to send 1000 messages with GPS coordinates. The tracker has a built-in accelerometer to detect movement, so the device uses the GPS only if motion happens. The sending frequency is adjustable by the user from the zTrack application. In case of typical usage (2 hours of motion per day with 5 minutes sending frequency), zTrack Mini can work for up to 4 weeks with one single charge. Charging is done via USB cable and it typically takes 1 hour to fully charge the device.
