zTag is a LoRaWAN based solar powered activity sensor and GPS tracker.
This GPS cattle ear tag can monitor the activity of the animal and send the relevant information to the mobile app. Pasture feed intake and fertility monitoring in a small solar powered ear tag.
It is easy to install as an ear tag for cattles. In the first place the device periodically transmits activity data to a LoRaWAN network. In addition, the device can locate the animal and on ztrackmap application shows the position. The device is monitoring the activity and the condition of the animal thanks to it’s sensors.
Using the data from the sophisticated motion sensor, the system can indicate abnormal situations, such as when the animal is running, fighting or when the animal has died because it is not moving.
The GPS tracker has a solar panel which makes it ideal for its purpose. The built-in battery can power the device for around four weeks, if there isn’t good sunlight exposure.
With an efficient configuration and good sunlight exposure, the battery is constantly charging via its solar panel. The device can maintain balanced operation.
