ZTrack Midi LoRaWAN GPS Tracker

zTrack Midi is a LoRa based GPS tracker device for tracking various assets equipped with a replaceable 3.6V AA battery in  IP65  rated IEC529 (dust and hose proof) enclosure.

zTrack Midi LoRaWan GPS tracker communicates with a gateway through LoRa network. Easy to install on different surfaces. Ideal to monitor assets, vehicles or containers.

Operation of zTrack Midi

All zTrack GPS trackers have an accelerometer and a temperature meter inside. The accelerometer chip is able to detect if the unit is moving. If no movement is detected, the tracker sends packets to the gateway every 60 minutes by default. We can change this period from 5 minutes to 1 day. In case of movement occurs, the  tracker changes the sending period to 2 minutes. We can set this from 2 minutes to 60 minutes. In addition if the GPS is able to locate the device, it will send the position and the battery voltage in every communication attempt. If the GPS receives no coordinates, the module will only send a keep-alive message that contains only the battery level and temperature. We can turn off both the GPS and the accelerometer via the zTrack application.

Battery Lifecycle:

zTrack Midi has 2500mAh replaceable 3.6V AA battery. This energy is enough to send 10000 messages with coordinates. The GPS tracker has a built-in accelerometer for movement detection, so the device uses the GPS only if motion occurs. The sending period is adjustable by the user from the zTrack application. In case of typical usage (2 hours of motion per day with 5 minutes sending frequency), our lorawan tracker can work for up to 40 weeks with one single charge.
